This 34 slide Thanksgiving Themed Symbolism lesson is an excellent way to have your students reflect about things they are Thankful for this Thanksgiving. In this lesson, students will learn about symbolism, what colors typically symbolize, and what animals typically symbolize. They will also see how when they text with emojis, they are using symbolism! Students will practice identifying common symbols, and then they will identify symbols that they feel represent what they are thankful for this Thanksgiving holiday from a choice of 5 templates. After students are done choosing symbols, they can share and explain what each of the images symbolize on an explanation slide. There is an additional bonus writing prompt for you to include at the end of the activity.
