This resource includes lessons and activities on making inferences. Students will first learn about the inferencing equation and then practice making inferences by looking at photos and reading dialogue in the form of text message conversations. After students have successfully shown that they can combine evidence and background knowledge to make inferences, you can move onto a story of your choice and have them make inferences using either of the two making inferences graphic organizers.
